Need YA reading suggestions

It's 6:45 am, and I've been up since about 5. Baby woke me and wouldn't sleep unless I was holding her, so that's what I'm doing. I need some book suggestions so I don't waste all my waking time playing on the internet.

I've been reading a lot of Regency romance lately, which is awesome, but I haven't read any YA in a long time. So give me your best YA suggestions. Thanks!

The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead is awesome. The Wicked Lovely Series by Mellisa Marr is great too. Good girl by Laura Ruby is will change how you think about cell phones that take pictures.

  2. Need and Captivate by Carrie Jones are beyond awesome. Shiver. I finally made it through Looking for Alaska, and though it started off slow, I can say I actually enjoyed it at the end. I love anything Melissa Marr and Holly Black too (I think they both have new releases coming out soon)

  3. Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamer series (about a teen banshee) is pretty good. The first book in Diana Peterfreund's 'killer unicorns and the virgins who hunt them' series was good, too. The first book 'Rampant' came out last year and the next 'Ascendant' should be out in September.

  4. Every time I get ready to type a title I'm pretty sure you've already read it. LMAO. If you've never read the Tiffany Aching books by Terry Pratchett (Wee Free Men, etc) they are really different and funny as all giddyup.

When I'm exhausted and need to wind down I sometimes reread an old classic I haven't looked at in a long time. Over Christmas I re-read a mess of Valdemar books by Lackey.

  5. My Love Lies Bleeding (or apparently called 'Hearts at Stake', but my copy is called My Love..) by Alyxandra Harvey - The amazing start to..THE DRAKE CHRONICLES :D

  6. I haven't read any YA in a bit either since I'm up to my neck in RITA books and didn't get any of that category. :o(

  7. I was going to mention Hearts at Stake too-perfect fluff reading with vampires and romance! John Green rocks-I really loved Paper Towns and Looking for Alaska. And anything by Elizabeth Scott is great (although Living Dead Girl is not a light read)

  8. I also enjoyed the Soul Screamer series. And omG....I really love Glass House by Rachel Caine. It's first in a series.

I finished the last LUXE book. I'm not going to say I loved it.
