Skeletons in the closet of America

According to Time.com, the top ten celebrity costumes this year are:
Bernie Maddoff
David Letterman
Kate Gosselin
"Sexy" Octomom
Kanye West (tshirt says "I'mma let you finish, but...")
Sarah Palin
Michelle Obama
Kim Jong II
Farrah Fawcett
and
Michael Jackson

To this I say, "What the eff is wrong with people?"

What are you doing for Halloween this year? I'm answering the door. My dog loves Halloween. She thinks all those kids are coming to visit her. She sits at the door and watches all the children, sitting up higher and prouder the closer they get to the door. It's the cutest thing ever.

What I won't be doing is wearing a Kate Gosselin wig.

I admit it. I was Sarah Palin last year. And I was Monica Lewinski 11 years ago.

If I dress up this year, which is a big "if", becuase it depends on whether I can convince Mr. Brice to play along, I'm going to be barefoot and pregnant and he's going to wear a wife beater undershirt, a trucker hat, and a mullet. We'll be fabulously klassy.

  2. I never dress up, because no one ever invites me anywhere, and there are no trick or treaters in my neighborhood. :-(

Hmm...maybe I should go as the queen of self-pity! That'll work. I have the costume already... ;-)

  3. I can get behind the political parody--and Amanda, I bet you were cute as Palin. I just scratch my head at "celebrities" like octomom and Gosselin.

I haven't dressed up in years either, Cara.

  4. If I'm here to answer the door and hand out candy, I'll be dressed like a goth vampire. It's just an excuse to wear my fangs, really.

  5. I am with you... the political costumes are cute... but Octomom? yeah, no.

  6. For work, some coworkers and I are dressing like Robert Palmer and his background "musicians" in the video Addicted to Love. LOL

  7. I will be doing things that only require a dark robe and moonlight. :)

And giving out candy... the good kind. None of that no-name poop. FULL SIZE CHOCOLATE, BABY!! But we live so far off the main road we never get more than a few people we know.
