Go Ahead, Ask Me

Okay, my brain is a pile of mush today. haha. My book FLIRTING WITH DISASTER released yesterday, and I'm still floating on cloud 9. So, I decided to discuss a cool book I read recently, and throw out a few Qs from it for you guys to answer.

The book is called GO AHEAD, ASK ME. by Nico Medina and Billy Merrell (that's the cover above). Some of you may remember that we had an interview with Nico a couple of years ago about his hilarious book FAT HOOCHIE PROM QUEEN. Anyway, he and his partner wrote this super-funny and often squirm-inducing Q and A book -- it came out in October 2009 with Simon Pulse.

Basically, the point is to get a group of friends together and ask each other questions. Some of them are very innocent and sweet. Others are really edgy and may make you feel uncomfortable. But there are a bounty of 500 questions to choose from, so you're bound to have hours of fun getting to know your friends better. I definitely recommend this book for older teens and adults--some of the questions are not appropriate for younger kids. LOL trust me.

Okay, I'm going to ask you guys a few Qs from the book, and I'll answer them in the comments. Looking forward to hearing you dish it!

1--Hot or not: cigars.

2--What was the worst book assigned by your English teacher? What was the best?

3--Who would you most like to punch in the face?

4--Would you rather give up your cell phone or your computer?

5--What's worse--too much makeup or too much perfume?

Anyway, there are a TON more questions in the book, but right now, I'm interested in hearing your answers. So, take it away, and run out to buy this book!

  1. 1--NOT hot. I think they're stinky. haha

2--The worst: THE GRAPES OF WRATH. Ugh, hated that book. The best: I really liked reading THE CANTERBURY TALES.

3--I'd love to punch the driver who flew around me and cut me off this morning. Yeah, that would be awesome...

4--By far, my cell phone. I can't live without my PC.

5--OMG too much perfume. I hate when people bathe in it. At least too much makeup can't make me physically ill. Well, not typically...haha

Perfume. I can choose not to look at you, but I can't choose not to smell you.

  5. 1--Hot or not: cigars. NOT

2--What was the worst book assigned by your English teacher? What was the best? CONFESSIONS OF AN OPIUM EATER was the worst... most books I like, but PRIDE AND PREJUDICE was an assignment, and I became an instant Austen fan.

3--Who would you most like to punch in the face? Ooh. I will not list the top ten, all of them are political figures. Katie Couric AND/OR Kathy Lee Gifford

4--Would you rather give up your cell phone or your computer? Cell... my netbook is in the shop and I'm LOSING it!

5--What's worse--too much makeup or too much perfume? I hate heavy makeup but the perfume thing actually makes me ill... yet I LOVE perfume done properly.

  6. 1--Hot or not: cigars. Hate to be wishy wash, but depends on the guy. Professor type? Totally hot. Everyone else? Totally not.

2--What was the worst book assigned by your English teacher? What was the best? Worst: A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Best: I never read another book assigned by a teacher. (Cliff's Notes, yeah, but book? no. And ATOTC was in 8th grade. And yes, I aced my classes)

3--Who would you most like to punch in the face?
If I put this here, the Secret Service will put me on a watch list, I'm sure.

4--Would you rather give up your cell phone or your computer? Computer. I can do pretty much everything on my Droid I can do on my lappy, but without my Droid I can't talk to my hubbie who lives four states away.

5--What's worse--too much makeup or too much perfume? Too much perfume. You can avert your eyes, but too much perfume does a headache make.

  8. 1--Hot or not: cigars.
Not. To me, cigars = George Burns.

2--What was the worst book assigned by your English teacher? What was the best?
So many bad books were assigned, I can't pick just one. Best was probably Much Ado About Nothing.

3--Who would you most like to punch in the face?
Who am I kidding? There are dozens standing in line for that.

4--Would you rather give up your cell phone or your computer?
I already gave up my cell phone.

5--What's worse--too much makeup or too much perfume?
Too much perfume. I can still breathe around people with too much makeup.
