The second Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie opened yesterday. Anyone planning to go?
The second movie, which pretty much tells the story of the 4th book, focuses on the summer after freshman year of college, that awkward time when you're not sure how to fit together your high school relationships with your college ones.
OK, I admit it. I'm not a teenager anymore (shocking, huh?). But the Pants movies (and books) resonate just as much with me in my 30s as they would have in my teens. Maybe even more. It's all about female friendship. That's why I like "Sex in the City", too. I didn't watch it so much for the sex, but for the bonds that the ladies shared.
Boyfriends are great, but your girlfriends are forever.
I'm ashamed to admit I didn't see the first one...but I think I'll go rent it and watch. I'm sure I'll love it!!
ReplyDeleteIt's actually on ABC Family a lot. They'll probably be doing a marathon of sorts this weekend, now that the sequel is out.
ReplyDeleteI..um...haven't read the books.
ReplyDeleteLame much?
It's just when things get too popular, I resist. I'm pretty sure my daughter has them all--I need to go steal them.
Gwen, I'm the same way. I know they'll probably take away my YA writer card, but I haven't *gasp* read Twilight yet.
ReplyDeleteI was also resisting Wicked Lovely for the same reason, but after meeting Melissa in person and seeing how lovely and nice she is, it's at the top of my TBR pile now. :)
I should watch this. I've seen bits and pieces, but never the whole thing. I want to, though!
ReplyDeleteSince I completely loved the books and the first movie, I definitely want to see this one, I'm just not sure if I'll make it while it's in theaters ($$$$) or just wait until it's on DVD and get it from the library.
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely going to see it sometime this weekend. My Mom and daughter were out of town until tonight...so, we have been waiting for them...plus, we have had three weeks now going on four of pure awfulness (this may not be a real word, but it expresses my past few weeks).
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing it and I am in my late thirties.
