I need some good YA recommendations. (Besides our own Rhonda Stapleton's Stupid Cupid, Flirting with Disaster, and Pucker Up. I'm all about those!)
I recently just finished Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella and I'm currently reading On the Steamy Side by my friend Louisa Edwards as well as the soon to be published Boyfriend of the Month Club by my friend and crit partner Maria Geraci.
But I need some good YA recs. So hit me with your best shot.
I love Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampire series.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Shiver yet?
Oh...and I have this one book--by Gwen Hayes.....
ah yes! that Gwen Hayes chick...I've heard of her! Heard that not only is she a helluva writer...but that she's a helluva looker, too. Plus she's always right which is why she is famous for What Gwen Said. :D
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww! XOXO
ReplyDeleteWhat genre are you looking to read?
just YA in general. Paranormal, contemp, historical...whatev. Just something good and young. To keep me hip, yo.
ReplyDeleteI recently read AUDREY, WAIT! by Robin Benway, and I was really blown away. Really smart & funny, and thoroughly enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you haven't read the Attolia books by Megan Whalen Turner, do so! (The series starts with THE THIEF.) And avoid spoilers. Including cover blurbs! :-)
Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler, Paper Towns by John Green, The Princess and the Hound by Mette Ivie Harrison, Bloody Jack (series) by L.A. Meyer, Ivy by Julie Hearn, The Blue Girl by Charles DeLint, anything YA by Francesca Lia Block - although I suggest her Weetzie Bat stories first.
ReplyDeleteI could go on for ages, but I think that's a good start.
